Wonder Woman's new outfit

Relax, everyone, I think TPTB already made the obvious fashion joke.
Well, it's not bad per se, it's just not Wonder Woman. Not very iconic. It looks like something a 21st-century American woman would wear, but Diana isn't that. She has her own culture, her own fashion sense, and her own identity. None of those include bolero jackets. It's probably pointless to complain, as this is the outfit she wears in an AU and doubtlessly she's going to go back to the classic outfit as soon as the sales uptick has worn off from this outfit, but still, as long as they're putting it out there, I'd much prefer a mix between Drew Johnson's battle armor and the pteryges/skirt/Xena look that everyone is asking for some variation on.

Yes, Smallville did something right. We should encourage that kind of behavior.
The way I see it, she's kind of like a military officer in formal dress, with the caveat that she might need to respond to a crisis at a moment's notice. So even though she saves the full battle armor for trips to Apokolips, her regular uniform would still be pretty militaristic. Not cloth or a bathing suit, but leather/metal armor that strikes a note between looking elegant and being intimidating. Sort of like a police officer's uniform. Not riot gear, but something that lets you know she's there in an official capacity to protect and serve.
Also-also
Street!Diana has fingerless glove bracers that leave a W mark on people when she hits them? Why would she even want that? "Feel my peace and compassion, bitch!" *whammo!* "Now everyone will see you got a taste of my pacifism!"
Some people have said that the new origin of "an Amazon raised in America after her homeland was destroyed" is a movie pitch. Yeah, let's make her more like Superman, there's a guy it's easy to make a movie about.
Lastly, a part of me is darkly amused by the idea that they're trying to streamline her origin by adding in an alternate universe.
ETA: A PANTS WOULD ALSO DO.
