I hope you told her it was about a lower class, overweight African American detective who has an abusive relationship with her assistant, Mo'nique Watson, until she learns self esteem defusing bombs in Iraq.
During the movie Troy, I sat in the same row with someone (an adult) who gasped out loud in surprise when the Greeks emerged from the wooden horse, as in, they had no idea that was going to happen. I think that was the day what little faith I had in humanity curled up and died.
I can emphasize. I mean, who would've expected the Trojans to be unable to stop a container full of little men from going where they're not wanted and taking over the place for an indefinite amount of time?
I had the same feeling when at the end of The Fellowship of the Ring one woman commented "But the story hasn't finished. How can the film have ended without finishing the story". I think both I and her boyfriend felt like hitting our heads against a wall or maybe better would have been hitting her head against a wall.
I've had an ordinarily intelligent young woman insist that the books were an adaptation of the movie. Even when I showed her the copyright date on the copy I was reading. Even when I explained to her the concept of copyright law.
