What can I say? A lot of time, canon pairings seem to be born more from authorial fiat than the characters (Dinah/Ollie, anyone?). A lot of people are interested in Roy/Tim and such, but I'm interested in some female characters and the pairings they're in. Wonder Woman/Nemesis? Bleh. Wonder Woman/Artemis or Wonder Woman/Io? Now we're talking.

Scott/Barda

Of course, some canon pairings get it right and give us an awesome set of characters that were literally made for each other. They love each other, they're fun, and they're awesome. What else do you need?

Dinah/Babs

I probably should have less mental real estate devoted to how Dinah/Babs would work if/when Barbara regains the use of her legs, but then I see something like this



And yeah, five minutes after Barbara gets legs, she's carrying Dinah into the bedroom.

It gives me something to talk about other than how Peter/Felicia would work in the Marvel Zombies verse. THINK ABOUT IT. IT COULD WORK.

I think it is! Two weeks until I have canon to base prison-sex fics on. Because evil anti-mutant governments don't segregate prison showers.

You know, I'm guessing X-Men: First Class is going to follow up on this (with Young!Jean and Young!Beast, possibly Young!Ororo joining Young!Scott) and I kinda hope Emma is one of the teachers alongside Xavier (and possibly Magneto). Because I know any movieverse canon will be tainted by X3, like yeah, I should really care about these characters when I know they're going to die pointless stupid deaths or grow up to be Halle Berry, but if there's wrongsauce subtext between Scott and Ms. Frost, I'll be there. That's something the Justice League movie never understood.

George Miller: So Christian Bale won't be Batman and Brandon Routh won't be Superman. In fact, everyone is fresh out of college.
