Summary: Rainstorms always make Scott think of Emma. And thinking of her is the first step to wanting her.
( Sighing melodramatically, Emma set down her clipboard. “In here? When it’s such a lovely day outside?” She walked to the French doors. The shadow of the raindrops played down her sculpted legs. “Can you fuck me out there, Scott? In the rain? Where anyone can see us?” )

My novel got OMGYAY! reviewed
Apr. 15th, 2009 03:50 pmAnd I got pretty much the reaction I was hoping for. Some scenes need to be pruned, others need to be tweaked, but problems like "the narrator is so likable that I didn't like it when the POV shifted to third-person limited" and "the villain is so sympathetic that I was rooting for her" are the kind of things I can live with :). And she said she was "intrigued" and wanted to know everyone's backstories, which is like asking Chris Claremont for lesbian subtext. Waaaay ahead of you.
