It’s been a long time, rehab and Dan and all that separating them, and now they’re back to normal. Blair can read her book, a New York Times bestseller that is exactly the kind of intellectual fare a Waldorf should read, and look up from it after each stupefying chapter to see Serena boppily catnapping on the couch, letting her iPod rock her to sleep. And Serena makes the cutest faces when Blair throws grapes at her.
“There are children starving in Africa,” Serena mopes at each precious, lost grape.
Blair giggles and manages to throw a grape right into Serena’s mouth. Serena savors the flavor as she laughs.
It’s been such a long time that Blair wonders if Serena is still up for their game, or whatever it is now (too complicated, too emotional, best to keep calling it a game). Thus making it the second ever series I've started watching entirely to read fanfiction of it. The first being the Gilmore Girls. Odd coincidental sharing of initials there.
