Breakout Kings
May. 29th, 2012 11:28 amSo the premise of the show is that two U.S. Marshalls say "Look, requisite TV trio of one white guy, one black guy, and one white woman, we're so bad at catching fugitives that we need the help of three dangerous criminals to catch fugitives. P.S. Please do not try to escape from us, the people who are really bad at catching fugitives."
It is a touch silly, I say.
Current post subject: Erica, played by Zatanna from Smallville (possibly the most date-rapey incarnation of a superhero ever. I'm not joking, she literally tried to date rape Superman and apparently has access to magical rohypnol wine. This woman has problems). She was basically raised from birth to be a bounty hunter (by her father, who was also a bounty hunter, not just a real big Boba Fett fan). Which makes me wonder, how come normal people never get described that way. "Alright people, listen up. This guy has been trained from birth to recognize shapes and colors. He practically came out of the womb sorting round pegs into round holes and triangular pegs into triangular holes. You're not scared? Well, get scared, because this son of a bitch has been playing with LEGOs too, ever since he was old enough not to swallow them!"
I don't really have more, I just thought that would be funny.

This sounds like a blue-collar White Collar, which itself riffs on Catch Me If You Can, which was based on a real dude.
According to Wikipedia, they get their sentences reduced by a month for each prisoner they catch. And if they even try to run off, they end up with their sentences doubled.
Also, the good guys on overwatch are a black guy, a white guy and a white woman HOLD ON JUST A SECOND-
