Is it bad when my chief thought on the season finale of a show about a strong female character is "You could've at least let her shoot herself"?

It's a pity the show was canceled at the mid-season break and Fox accidentally lost the remaining episodes of the 4th season in a studio fire. I'm certain they would've been awesome and certainly would not have reduced the female supersoldier lead to a MacGuffin and Womb of Prophecy.
