Why is the Straw Dogs remake set in the South? Who would move to the South expecting it to be full of tolerant non-rapists? That doesn't make movie-sense. Wouldn't it make more sense for the protagonists to flee to Canada to "get away" from politics and then get swerved by asshole vigilantes with free health care?

The south is full of wonderful people. Don't fall back on old stereotypes from the 1950's. I just read about a group of women brutally murdered in Canada!

So, they failed so hard at remaking Straw Dogs that they actually remade Deliverance in the process?

That's like deliberately aiming your gun at your own foot, and still managing to shoot yourself in the back of the head instead.

Actually, this movie could dearly use James Marsden getting sodomized. At least it'd be a change-up from a line-for-line remake of Straw Dogs but in TEH SOUTH OMG RELEVANT!!!!
