Okay, so Jaime Murray wants to play the Twelfth Doctor, which... c'mon. That's just unfair to nerds. I'm not really a fan of the girl-Doctor idea, as I don't want to see every episode turn into a referendum on transgenderism (c'mon, you know it would), but Jaime Murray on Doctor Who? That'd work. Perhaps as a Companion... but who? It'd be unoriginal to just redo Gaia or H.G. Wells; the Jaime Murray mission statement is to provide new and exciting area-tingles. So, perhaps...

Jaime Murray plays Clare Brinker, a politician's daughter from the 1980s. She works as a banker by day, and a punk rock girl by night. So you get both buttoned-down Jaime Murray and Sex Pistol Jaime Murray. Plus, she'd be the rare character who is even more anarchic and radical than the Doctor in wanting to tear down the Establishment, leading to new and different conflicts with him and possible other Companions.

Lady Felice Carmichael of Yorkshire (Ruth Wilson) is scandalized and somewhat intrigued by this strange girl dancing to a song with lyrics so disloyal to the Crown!

Any list of potential female Doctors should start with Helen Mirren (who's equal parts William Hartnell and Jon Pertwee) and end with Tilda Swinton (who's basically a female Tom Baker who's never been given the opportunity to let her freak flag fly).

I would start watching Dr Who if Jaime Murray was anywhere near it. She could be doing the hair and makeup for an ep and I'd wander over and watch the whole season. And the JM hair&makeup ep would still be my favorite. Obsession? What obsession?

I'd much rather have her as the new head of Torchwood. She excelled at being a type similar to Jack Harkness on Warehouse 13.

Also why not bring back Ramona? River Song is all very well and good, but she came pre-fridged. "The Doctor's Wife" implies that other rebel Time Lords did exist outside the Time War apocalypse (even if they were eaten by the pocket dimension), so why not some other survivor besides The Doctor and The Master?

I think "The Doctor's Wife" implied the other Time Lords being eaten were from before the Apocolypse, while they were still gallivanting through time being all bossy.
