I think one cause to be excited for the Superman reboot is that there's a good chance they're going to get Lois Lane right. I think Superman Returns suffered from Lois mostly being just there for the romance angle, but Zach Snyder seems pretty committed to telling women's stories--adding a Queen Gorgo subplot to 300, Sucker Punch--even if not everyone likes how that turns out. But the fact that when the time came to make a vanity picture, he decided to do a film at least partway about critiquing how women are sexualized in the media, makes me at least interested in where he'll go with Lois.

ETA: I also like to imagine ChrisMeloni!Lex as unwinding after a long day of corporate-raiding by beating up child molesters. Perhaps while wearing a tight tanktop, for the ladies.
