seriousficAlan Bradley has a problem. The heir to his company and his best friend's son, Sam Flynn, is wasting his life on increasingly self-destructive causes. Alan dips into the corporate espionage warchest from the bad old days of Ed Dillinger Sr. and hires a team of extractors.
With some help from Alan, Dom Cobb and his team lure Sam to his father's arcade, where Sam passes out from a colorless, odorless gas after finding a room Arthur has prepared. As soon as he's asleep, the team delves into his dream... which they've constructed based on the old bedtime stories Kevin used to tell his son. Since Sam's subconscious is already projecting his father as CLU, the personification of Sam's grief over his father's leaving, Eames disguises himself as a second version of Sam's father, an aged and wise Kevin Flynn. To Arthur's consternation, Eames is a huge fan of The Big Lebowski, and peppers his "performance" with cues from The Dude. The team subtly begins to nudge Sam toward the idea of taking back Encom by helping him reach closure on his missing father...
An hour later, but a full day in the shared dream, Sam awakes... now accompanied by the team's architect, who has fallen in love with him...

Kevin: Yes, that was me! I went onto the Grid and fought alongside Tron, helping him defeat the Master Control Program and his evil henchmen, Sark!
Lora: This is why I left you for Commander Sheridan.
