seriousficThe 90s are incredibly disappointed.
So... meh. It's a Spider-Man costume. They went the Superman Returns route of trying to make a comic book costume more realistic by muting the colors and making it more textured (which, admittedly, worked well in the Star Trek reboot), but it does give off a strong Ultimate Spider-Man vibe, so mission accomplished, I guess. To completely read too much into a single contextless image, I'd be disappointed if this was overall as "i r sirius spyder-man, it iz serious business" as the one image is vibing. Sam Raimi can get away with an emo-y Spider-Man who never cracks jokes because he's Sam Raimi. 500 Days of Summer just doesn't have that currency with me.
