What really caught me was that the reason for this was that the show was getting too much viewership with straight males over 40 and not enough in females aged 18-34. Damnit, ladies, why can't you be as feminist as forty-year-old men? [/snark]

ETA: Wait, you're telling me XANDER BERKELEY isn't enough man for female audiences? I'm just saying, how many men have left a TV show by crashing a nuke into the desert? XANDER BERKELEY, that's how many!

I heard about this and it enrages me! I don't understand why networks can't just be happy people are watching their show instead of getting their panties in a twist because different people than they anticipated are watching.

SPIKE earned my eternal hatred for releasing press statements years ago bemoaning the fact that so many women were watching Blade: The Series.

So, you're saying that they're saying that only old perverts are watching Nikita!? lol, I kid. I am one of those "rare" females who really like this show. I find Nikita to be so motherly... like the mother I only wish I had. XD I suppose getting a male "hottie" won't hurt though. That will just add to the already beautifulness of the cast. :D

Note to self: Since I am between the ages of 18 and 34, I will recruit my female friends to watch this show. Yay.
