Hey, love your hair. Can we talk a second? It's about Sherlock Holmes. There's something you should know about him. He's not Dr. Gregory House. I know House is based off him and that the RDJ Sherlock Holmes probably took a cue off House as well, but they're not the same. Holmes is actually capable of being polite. His chief exports are logic and crimefighting, not sarcasm and abrasiveness. Most importantly, Sherlock Holmes talks like this.

"And yet the motives of women are so inscrutable. How can you build on such a quicksand? Their most trivial action may mean volumes, or their most extraordinary conduct may depend upon a hairpin or a curling tongs."
And House talks like this.

Bitches, man.
Another difference: Only Sherlock Holmes has fought Nazis. So if you have House saying "Remember that time we fought Nazis?", you might wanna lampshade it by having Wilson say something like "No, that was Sherlock Holmes."

And then House was well-dressed with impeccable grammar.
