2. I would watch this ten times before I even watched the trailer for Just Wright. Oh, really, because the word Wright rhymes with Right? With that kind of scintillating wordplay, Queen Latifah, it's no wonder you're one of the original non-Latino female kings of comedy or whatever.

3. If I were black, that theme song would make an awe-inspiring ringtone.

4. How is it we have like fifteen remakes of Robin Hood and only one Boss Nigger? Because that's actually a cool premise. Former slaves become the law enforcement in a crime-ridden town, and bitch-slap the racism right out of it. Say, Samuel L. Jackson as the sheriff, David Chappelle as his wacky deputy, and add in Gina Torres as a bounty hunter/love interest for the ladies. Throw in some exciting shootouts with the Ku Klux Klan. Much more interesting than Jonah Hex, isn't it?

5. "Being called a nigger in public, now that's twenty dollars or two days in jail!" Shouldn't that be calling someone a nigger in public? No matter what the color of your skin, bad grammar is bad grammar.

ETA: Of course, if they did remake this, the first thing they would do is change the name. Which wouldn't be so bad, only the second thing they would do is cast Ashton Kutcher in the lead, because there just aren't any black actors with the acting experience to play black men. Then all the geek websites would do articles on how there were totally white slaves, duh. Then, to get more appeal, they'd buy the name of an old movie, so it'd turn into a remake of Blazing Saddles, with Jessica Alba as Lili Von Shtupp.

To be fair to the Geek sphere, most people were up in arms about the whitinating of the Avatar cast, for example. And I've heard some people get pretty angry about Jemma Atherton and Jake Gyllenhall playing "persians". TBH, I think it's more about hollywood execs presuming that people are stupid racists rather than people actually being stupid racists.

Ugh, this discussion is bringing back all my rage from Tales of Earthsea. NOBODY IS WHITE IN THAT BOOK. WHERE ARE YOU FINDING THESE WHITE PEOPLE. Gaaarrrghh foamrage.
