So I have this idea for a lesbian superhero pastiche of Jane Austen. After all, there was a zombie pastiche of Jane Austen called Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. And there was a sea monster pastiche of Jane Austen called Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters.

But what would the lesbian superhero pastiche be called? Would it be Emma & Jean... or Emma & Kitty?

I've got to go with "Emma and Jean".

I think an emotionally-repressed propriety-obsessed straightwoman (so to speak) is perfect for a comedy of manners. And I'm fairly sure Emma won't be filling that role! But Kitty doesn't seem a good match either.

I hope there's going to be at least a little bodice-ripping ;)

Hey, I'm all for Megan Fox getting as much girlsex as that body can handle, but it's not in a theatre near me yet. In fact, according to IMDB, it won't reach here for a little over another month. *sigh*

In the meantime I shall just have to cope with existing fandoms ;)

IT'S EMMA! Go with Emma/Jean, Emma/Kitty, Emma/maids, Emma/butler, then finish with Emma/Jean/Kitty/maids/butler!!! If she can have an erotic dream about her dead sister, anything is fair game, LOL.

I imagine Kitty as someone's youthful ward. Maybe Miss Jean Grey trying to educate her as a prim and proper young lady, despite the bad influence of Emma. (Surely it's that unsuitable Frost woman's fault she keeps finding Kitty in naught but her crinolines, and imagining her in less.) Or maybe Kitty's in the charge of the old Brigadier Logan, newly returned from the Loyal American Colonies, but who seems to have brought some of the savagery of the frontier back with him.
