This is a truly badass Barda.



You know, if they ever made a Fourth World movie, they wouldn't have to change Barda's costume at all. I can accept that, at best, you'd get Scott doing his magic act in costume and then for the rest of the movie he'd be in jeans and a T-shirt (which would actually be better than him being in a generic black leather outfit, because Scott's the kind of character that would get caught up in an epic battle for the fate of the universe while wearing sneakers and a plain white tee). Plus, how adorable would it be if Scott and Barda had a PG-13 kinda love scene and we faded to them wrapped up in Barda's cape? It'd be too cute. You'd have to throw in some puppies to the next scene to help ease the audience down from that cuteness.

Capes and cuddling, movie people. That's all you need for me to be happy.

ETA: For the record, Jack Kirby intended Barda to look like this, physically. So I guess these days they would cast... Cobie Smulders? Throw in a sparring scene with BridgetRegan!Wondy and I promise you, I will personally slap every American who doesn't buy a ticket.

When you bring Barda into the equation, I almost want to switch it around so we have Cobie Smulders Wondy and Bridget Regan Barda.

For some reason Bridget Regan just looks more like Wondy to me. And Cobie Smulders has this bigness that makes me think Barda. It's like "instant Barda, just add muscles!"

Of course, I don't know if she's butch enough to pull it off (is anyone? Other than Lucy Lawless?), but she could definitely do the look.

I think Colbie would do a nice, naive to the world-of-man Wondy. Briget can pull the gritty warrior thing Barda has going.Plus Craig Horner as Scott would be made of WIN! On an unrelated note, i just saw The Devil's Reject and i think Sheri Moon Zombie would make a perfect Harley Quinn. She is just that full of crazy Lol
