Does whatever a spider can.
Feb. 12th, 2008 06:52 pmJust saw a poll on Marvel asking which part of the new Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon geeks potential viewers are most looking forward to. One of the options is "Hello, ladies! Romance?" My conclusions are threefold.
1. Ladies? Marvel is out of touch with part of their fanbase. Daredevil, Johnny Storm, Harry Osborn... J. Jonah Jameson...
2. Romance should have a question mark behind it, as Quesada's idea of romance is Peter getting in, getting off, and getting out. Long-time commitments are for oldies!
3. Really, who watches a half-an-hour children's cartoon show for the romance?
...
Okay, don't answer that. I am so not comfortable with where that discussion could go.

Date: 2008-02-13 04:16 pm (UTC)Sadly, I do watch half hour cartoons for romance all too often. X-men Evolution? I would be totally hanging on for just a glimpse of Scott/Rogue, Lance/Kitty, or whatever else was tickling my fancy at the moment...
And the thought of a Spidey show with no Peter/MJ is just... the farthest thing from enticing. Won't be getting half an hour of my day, that's for sure.
