As part of a convoluted crossover, the Greek gods are feuding with the Roman gods and the Bana-Midghall are going crazy and the price of rain in Spain is fluctuating... but, for the context we need, the Amazons have been framed for killing a bunch of innocent people (really, who would believe that?) and Wonder Woman left her lasso at the scene of a crime. Since she's decided playing scapegoat for Circe is for chumps, it's time to prove the Amazons innocent and save the day. But first, she needs her lasso back.
