Just got back from the library, where I finally got a library card. I borrowed Fatalis, a horror novel about sabertooth tigers awakened from a "cryogenic slumber" of eleven thousand years. As the back says, "The battle between past and present, between man and beast has been waged (sic). And God help the loser..."
They're pretty much just big tigers, book. We've got tigers under control. I don't think humanity has much to worry about.
I also got some Ian Fleming novels, as well as a Preston/Child collaboration (trying to bone up on pulp). And they have DVDs, so I got Les Mis, Zathura, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. That last one is just for the writer's commentary. Mostly. If you're going to learn about screenwriting, it might as well be while staring at Cameron Diaz's ass.
Flash Fact: As soon as I got in the car to drive home, the theme to Shaft came on the radio. Does that mean a library card makes you a pimp? Yes. A book pimp. Speaking of pimps, let's settle this once and for all.

ETA: Keep in mind, SamJack!Fury has not done this even once.
