So I watched Ben Hur last night

Well, the last three nights (it's a bit long and I work late). What struck me was the scene where Judah first meets Jesus. He's been enslaved and is being denied water during the long desert march by his Roman guards. Jesus defies the Romans to bring him water. One of the cruel guards sees Jesus and tells him to back off, but Jesus just gives him a look and stops him in a tracks.

It's one of the all-time classic cinematic moments.

Naturally, all I could think was "Nobody fucks with the Jesus."

I always preferred Spartacus to Ben Whore. I prefer the idea of getting things done yourself, even if you eventually fail, to the idea of being the toy of some higher power.
