To be fair to Jareth, who wouldn't put together an elaborate baby-kidnapping plot to get Jennifer Connolly to be their queen? Although he probably should've waited a few years. Once Sarah's in college, she'll look at the prospect of running away with David Bowie quite differently.

And this movie confirms what all little brothers have always suspected: Their big sisters are overdramatic bitches who are in congress with the forces of darkness.

The trailer also promises "the wizardry of George Lucas" (ahem) and "the excitement of David Bowie". Uh, yeah, with those pants, I think we'd be the first to know about David Bowie's excitement.

In fact, that kinda sums up George Lucas in a nutshell. Meticulous attention paid to the Muppets, but no one thinks to let out David Bowie's in-seam. And according to Wikipedia...

Burned by the negative reception that met The Dark Crystal, Jim Henson set out to make a film that was every bit as technically innovative as his last film, while incorporating the humor and music that audiences loved from Sesame Street and The Muppet Show.

And somehow, they decided to "kiddy things up" by having a goblin king toss around a baby in order to seduce a teenage girl... with musical numbers! It had the virtue of being untried...
