Admission: I subscribe to a comic book erotica mailing list, although it's more for lulz than pron (ever read a story where Catwoman fondly reminisces about being raped?). And the subject of Reboot!Starfire came up. So, how do a bunch of self-proclaimed perverts like hot amnesiac action?

Well. They don't. At all. One prolific artist says that, although Starfire is drawn well, she's "a two-dimension character from a porno." See, what they do is parody, they're not bringing it into mainstream comics, and what DC is doing has pretty much ruined the character. It was fun to portray her as a slut when she wasn't, but when that's her official characterization, it's "creepy."

Tl;dr - Even the people who would whack off to a comic do not like Reboot!Starfire.

One other thing: A lot of people have been saying that Reboot!Starfire should've been closer to her cartoon counterpart, with others saying that Cartoon!Starfire and Comics!Starfire are nothing alike. Which makes me wonder what comic they've been reading. It's true, in the comics, two of Starfire's distinguishing characteristics are her promiscuous sexuality and her bloodthirsty approach to combat, neither of which can really be portrayed in a cartoon aimed at kids (and Teen Titans was aimed at kids, even more than JLU or the current Young Justice are). But aside from that, Kory's always been depicted as emotionally open, friendly, and bright.

True, it's exaggerated for comedic effect in the cartoon, like everything else, and Cartoon!Starfire is a character still adjusting to life on Earth. But it's the same character, unlike Cartoon!Raven having multiple sargasms and Comic!Raven being an angstmuffin drama queen (seriously, read some of her scenes in the Perez/Wolfman run, it's hilarious). But if the comics de-emphasized Starfire's T&A to focus more on her personality, you'd have a character the cartoon viewers would recognize.
