Why is it I can follow all the rules and still get in trouble? Is it a special talent?

Not blamed, but I definitely got a Come To Jesus talk. What's really frustrating is that people complained when the kind of fic they were reading was incredibly obvious. I mean, I don't click on an Erik/Charles fic and go "OMG, there are men kissing in this!"
