Huh.
Well, I had a nice acceptance speech worked out, but I think I'll just post something from my queue instead.
This post written before March 22.
So I went to see my mom the other day and it was pretty hard to hear her over the iron lung, but we had a good talk. She's always been very supportive of my writing and she was thrilled to hear I'd been nominated for the LOTSeekerfic Awards, but she's such a worrywart. I told her "Look, I've got nine nominations, I can't lose! It's in the bag!"
Anyway, the doctor thinks she'll be able to pull through, she just needs a little encouragement.
ETA: R.I.P. Irma Addison, 1952-2011
ETA2: I'd like to apologize to Moonlighting for ripping that bit off. Kidding, obviously, I don't mind who gets an award. The important thing is I got to make a reference to a TV show from the 80s. Besides, we all know these things are just popularity contests anyway...
