CLU: And now, Flynn, I will rule the world you created with an iron fist, preventing you from ever seeing your loved ones again! What are you gonna do about it?
Kevin Flynn: I'm going to spend hundreds of years alone with Olivia Wilde.
CLU: ...

You know, what's weird is that the finale of that movie is so bocked, and it's such an easy fix. Because right now, it goes something like this.
Completely undramatic reveal of Rizler being Tron > Completely undramatic shift of Tron's allegiance from evil to good > "I fight for the Users." (Audience: Who are you talking to?) > Pointless sacrifice > Kevin sacrifices himself to kill CLU, just like Sam and Quorra talked about in the big "this'll be important later on" scene.
It's all so meaningless. Why not, say, have Kevin sacrifice himself to reprogram Tron? We've already established he can do this, so it would go something like this.
Flynn accepts a mortal wound to start reprogramming Rizler > CLU and Sam fight (thus giving the hero of the movie something to do during the climax other than having Olivia Wilde cling to him. Not that there's anything wrong with that) > Tron returns to deal CLU a crucial blow, allowing Sam to win without it being completely Mary-Sue unbelievable. You can even turn it into a cheesy little dialogue.
CLU: What are you even fighting for, son?*
Tron: (lightdisc out of nowhere) *I* fight for the Users!
Audience: *applause*
There. Is it just me or does that hang together much better?
*I always love a good "what are you fighting for?" villainish rant. The one Smith had in Matrix Revolutions was great, until it came time for a heroic one-liner to put him in his place and all Neo had was "Because I choose to." I was waiting for Smith to go "Yes, I know you choose to, I was asking you why."
