So, let me get this straight. In Tron, Kevin Flynn is sucked into a computer, where he discovers that every time someone plays a video game, sentient "Programs" are killed. He befriends them and eventually manages to escape... where, according to Tron Legacy, he not only develops more video games, but he bases them on his experiences inside the computer.

Whoa. Who knew Jeff Bridges could be such a dick?

TRON was always one of those concepts that did not benefit from being examined too closely, or else the second time you watch the original film, you'll realize that the lighthearted arcade scene alone represents a virtual death toll to rival the Holocaust.

All those quarters ... the blood will never come off my hands.

While its true that in the original tron they do make it seem like people are dicks for playing video games, but in Legacy the progams had their own death match's without anyone(people)controling them. could be the same for the original

It's interesting to read the fic this Fridge Logic bit (apparently) inspired, and then see this.

More the other way around. I posted this after I came up with the story, just in case I was missing some key piece of canon that would Joss my fic. That'll teach me to overestimate the logic of a movie about computers.
