seriousficChristina Hendricks wants to play Wonder Woman. God, this is like Sophie's Choice. Because on the one hand, Christina Hendricks. Just... Christina Hendricks. On the other hand, I've always thought of Wondy as less voluptuous and more athletic. There's no reason Hendricks couldn't bulk up, of course, but... she would have to dye her hair, and I can't help but think of that as a net negative for the world. I mean, we already lost Emma Stone to Gwen Stacy.
(A number of people have suggested she'd make a great Poison Ivy, and, well, yes. In fact, Ivy's one of the few Batvillains that have master plans beyond stealing a bunch of shit, so she'd be ideal for a ~motion picture event~, but I can't really see the WB doing evil vines/man-eating flowers/plant creatures anytime soon.)
And the fact is, I'm not going to be able to stop seeing Bridget Regan as Wonder Woman anytime soon. I mean, have you seen her? If Christina Hendricks came up to me and said "Superheroes are real, I'm Wonder Woman and I'm here from Earth-2 to ask for your help," I'd go "That's nice." If Bridget Regan did the same thing, I'd be like "YOU HAVE MY BOW."
And if I help you, can you make a third season of Legend of the Seeker? You need to! Look what's happening to Craig Horner!
Maybe we can compromise and she can play Artemis, who gets to be Wonder Woman for a while. She has red hair and she's basically an evil version of Diana... and later, a bitchy version of Diana. I'm not saying she's Princess Diana with a personality... but she's Princess Diana with a personality.
Also, Bridget Regan and Christina Hendricks having a lot of tension, but growing to respect and trust one another, probably while having at least one sparring session?
