Starfire w/ Penis Part I

Here we see an intriguing reliance on formula, a storytelling shortcut if you will, rather than explicating why Starfire has a penis. Kory makes reference to a "boy-spell", presumably cast by Raven (as indicated by Starfire's belief that Raven can reverse it), which seems to have counterintuitively given her male genitalia instead of fully transforming her into a boy. So despite Starfire's dialog, it is more accurately a penis-spell. Will a flashback come to reveal the reason Raven cast this spell, thus changing our entire perception of the story ala Shyamalan? No.
Also, note that Raven's breasts are much larger than in canon, putting even Comics!Starfire to shame. Does this abundance of a feminine characteristic poigantly contrast with Starfire's obvious masculine aspect? Sure, why not.
Despite one of the traditional appeals of superheroine erotica being the costumes, here we see both Starfire and Raven are dressed in men's dress shirts. This is a common post-sex iconography, triggering the possessive instinct in the male as well as providing a coy sexuality to the display of the female body. As Starfire has her nudity taboo well in place in the cartoon, and Raven usually dresses in a costume that is "sexy" enough with its bare legs and skintight fabric, is this meant to imply a prior sexuality to the characters or merely suggest cross-dressing, another redefinition of male characteristics to go with the ultimate Freudian power transfer?
These questions and so many others (including, naturally, "WHY GOD WHY!?"), tomorrow.
