seriousficSo I finished my YA novel last night, all 70K of it, and it's ready for polishing. I'm going for something of a Watchmen feel for it, because the YA genre, both TV and book, seems ripe for some deconstruction. I've never killed someone, but I watched Unforgiven and Clint Eastwood said it was a big deal, so perhaps when Merlin, on the BBC, flambees the sorcerer of the week, it is not wholly realistic that he then immediately goes back to having subtext with Arthur.
So if anyone would like to read a free book for the low, low price of some critique, especially if one has proofing knowledge of Tejanos, the Catholic Church, Texas, high school, or just really hating Smallville, comment.
And now that it's in polish mode, I'll be getting back to work on some LotS and Rizzoli & Isles fics.

I was partially raised by an incredibly devout Catholic grandmother who has actually thrown Holy Water on me for very random reasons.
High school was a bitch, but I survived.
I watch Smallville mostly for the impossible amount of pretty people from one town and the Geoff Johns episodes. Not a fan of the storytelling.
