In case you weren't aware, her new movie Remember Me has a twist ending. I'd cut for spoilers, but I doubt anyone reading this is in the target audience. See, although for most of the movie you think it's taking place in the present-day, at the end RPattz's character goes up into the World Trade Center just in time for 9/11. That's right. Al Qaeda kills Edward Cullen.
Between this and Avatar, is there any remaining doubt that Hollywood wants us to root for the terrorists?
(All kidding aside, you remember a few years back when United 93 and World Trade Center came out and we wondered if we'd reached the point where it was okay to exploit 9/11 for cheap pathos? Well, we were wrong. That point is now.)
