YOU are hilarious! but i TOTALLY agree! i reckon a better 'search' for a kick-ass action heroine that'd actually be believable seems to be "tall order." however, i think my "personal favorite" is when they pair up these vapid & young (except Hallie) heroine of action (comic or otherwise) with these 50-year-old-barely-there-hair men. Nicholas Cage w/ almost any woman. i mean you don't need to be one of those Psychic Kids from A&E to know that Halle Berry doesn't have a single athletic-action bone in her body--- which is partly why Catwoman SOOOO sucked!
by the way: if you're doing movie reviews -- which i enjoy reading, i'm surprised you didn't drop one about Disney's rather poor attempt at a Black cartoon (it was only the year 2009 ): Princess & the Frog-- i took my niece. & i think 'crabs' might have been more painfully irritating. what were 'they' thinking? & even worse -- after the initial screening for in New Orleans got tanked by most of the Black folks there --- i'm "surprised" they didn't get a 'clue.' actually it's Disney so i'm not really surprised. needless to say my family will have to work that much harder to ensure my niece will have better examples of positive Black self-determination.
Anyhoo, if you're going to see the Book of Eli, i'll be looking forward to your review.
