I think this was actually the first time I saw Doctor Who. Looking back, it does seem a bit kitschy (the Doctor has lots of clocks and reads The Time Machine because he's a time traveller, geddit?), but then Doctor Who doesn't have much room to talk, does it England? No, it doesn't. Although the John Williamsified theme music is a bit much and why would you screw with the Daleks, pretty much the most recognizable element of Doctor Who?

And the seventh Doctor goes out like a bitch. Would it have been too much trouble to have the Master kill him? That would set up Koschei as a foe to be reckoned with in the first ten minutes, as well as making the Doctor look like less of a tard. "Oh, people are shooting at me! Better poke my head out and say hi."

And do you really need to ask the date on New Year's Day (or Eve)?
