You smell like a monkey...
Sep. 17th, 2009 07:33 pmLittle sister's birthday today. Backstory: For my dad's birthday, Little Sis got him stuff she probably wanted more than him (Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Forrest Gump, and a Harry Potter movie), thus I feel obliged to give the minimum necessary to maintain moral superiority (I got him Gran Torino. He's a guy, thus he loved it.)
So I regifted her two YA books about fairies I bought as research, and grabbed a Marvel Adventures Avengers digest on the way home from work. Thus do I give an awesome birthday present and support well-written comics in one fell swoop.
Little Sis: (paging through MAA digest) Who knew Wolverine was short?
Me: Uh... everyone?
She also did not know who Luke Cage was, because he doesn't have a movie. I'd applaud her hopefully burgeoning interest in Power Man, only I'm pretty sure the same thing once happened to Brian Michael Bendis. And we all know how that ended.
