Here's my thinking
Sep. 15th, 2011 12:52 pmI'm coming around some on Christina Hendricks as Wonder Woman, mostly because it's hard to tell how someone will act the part until they've actually started preparing for it. Chris Evans, for instance, made a great Captain America once he bulked up. Assuming the studio doesn't insist Hendricks stay "sexy"... which is silly enough when you have "action stars" practicing waif-fu like it's standard training... I mean, I'm not asking for her to be a bodybuilder like Barda, just about as toned as your average soccer player.
Well, not Hope Solo, that's asking a lot. But the person who Hope Solo beats, sure.
Here's my thought, though. Christina Hendricks is the only person who could play Diana as two different people. When she's Wonder Woman, she's got the black hair, the cleavage. Then when she's Diana Prince, she has red hair and dresses conservatively. No one will be able to tell they're the same gal.
Wait a minute, you're not Wonder Woman, you're Amy Pond!
To find that, I had to Google "Christina Hendricks covered up." I think I'm on an FBI watchlist now.
Of course, to throw off suspicion, Tate!Candy will have to wear a variety of low-cut tops. Which women will appreciate because it's a full-figured lady being presented as sexy and guys will appreciate because they're guys. Even the gays can appreciate the aesthetic value of perfect globes. You could calculate pi off those things.
