I kinda wonder if this series would hold up, on rewatch, as the story of friends-turned-enemy (a la, say, Batman and Two-Face) as told from the perspective of the villain. Last season, there was a goddamned action climax for Hank, then a prolonged Heroic BSOD in which the villains (i.e. our protagonists) ran amok, and now, revitalized by an ironic slip-up by Walt, our boy Hank is doing the kind of badass detective work that wouldn't be out of place in Sherlock.

John Watson, American style.

And given the subtext of masculinity and control in the series, I wonder if it won't end up being the story of Walt "reclaiming his masculinity" in the worst way possible and Hank being humbled and developing into a more noble persona.

When did Matthew Fox decide he was going to play a young Obadiah Stane in Iron Man: Origins, a film project I just made up?

Jane felt hurt after finding out Maura was having sex with someone other than her, then Korsak walked in on Jane and Maura during an intimate moment.

What? That's what happened. Then they hugged and Jane smelled Maura's hair. Oh, show, you're like Elton John claiming to be bisexual. Just spread your big gay wings and fly on the winds of your fabulous hoyay.
