Things I should've mentioned

Okay, my Yuletide story was a fic set in the Joe Pitt Casefiles, a vampire book series that takes its cues a lot more from organized crimes than Bram Stoker. It's about the respect/hate relationship between our caustic hero, Pitt, and a hardcore feminist lesbian vampire, Lydia (she works for a vampiric Jeff Rosso, it's awesome). The premise actually started out as a platonic Richard/Cara plotbunny, but as you can imagine, it's pretty unworkable to have a fic in which Cara is too timid to hit on someone, so it works a lot better here.

Anyway, fun to write and I think I got Charlie Huston's "voice" down pretty well.
