My YA novel, now tentatively titled, is at 30,331 words. Since the average YA novel is 60,000 words, that means I'm halfway done. And putting it over the top is... the heroine masturbating. You know, for kids!

Now I just gotta do something to show that the attraction isn't one-sided, with the hero also being kinda awkward and confused by his sexy feelings. Hard to do, since he's at a very "what do you mean vigilante justice isn't a treatment for depression?" stage right now. But there also needs to be some dog-petting in the middle of all the vendettas and crusades, so he has to find some way to go (or fail to go) "look, I really like you, but I'm really messed up right now and you don't have to wait for me, but please wait for me, I don't know what I'd do if you left." But, you know, by killing someone.
