I know some of you probably aren't watching Legend of the Seeker. So, you probably don't care whether or not it's renewed. And why would you, it's not like it cures cancer*? But you probably should! After all, some day you could start watching it and really like it! Wouldn't it suck if you were watching the DVDs and loving it and saying "Okay, where's the fic?" and then you learned there isn't any fic anymore because the show was canceled? What would you femslash then? Grey's Anatomy? Don't make me laugh.

Plus, LotS passes the Bechdel Test EVERY FUCKING EPISODE. While other shows are all answering their Scantrons so the bubbles form a dong, half the fucking cast of LotS are strong female characters. Imagine Supernatural if Bobby and Castiel were girls. No, wait, don't imagine Bobby as a girl. I apologize for that. But that's what it's like! Actually, it's more like BSG if Roslin were even more ridiculously good-looking and she and Kara spent every episode bonding and beating up Cylons. I know, I know, that's clearly inferior to two season finales that revolve around gospel music, but we have to make do.
Did I mention one of the characters is bisexual? And not the wussy pinky-holding kind either. I mean the full-on 'oh, here's my old lover, we still have feelings for each other and yes, we're both fucking women'. I like Lost too, but if you wanted to find someone queer, you'd have to go back a few seasons and shuffle through the dead guys to find someone who's into their own gender. And even then, he might've only been doing it because Jacob told him to.
So if you like tolerance or acceptance or girls kissing, it would probably be a good thing for you if LotS were renewed, even if you don't watch it. Because maybe somewhere down the line, someone will be thinking "I can't put a bisexual character in my show, people would hate it! But then again, there's Cara from LotS, and she's one of the most popular characters. I guess it'd be okay." Boom, progress! Top that, Obama!
Now Save Our Seeker is doing e-mail campaigns all this week, so all you have to do is send an e-mail saying "Even though I don't watch the show, I like it when I see icons of the hot blonde in tight red leather kissing things." Or say you're an interested viewer or come at it from a gay rights perspective or, you know, lie. Whatever. But if LotS is canceled, it's probably going to be a while until we get a female character as slashy as Cara, and that sucks on a lot of levels.
