So, Ryan Reynolds is Green Lantern?
Jul. 11th, 2009 12:05 amWell, at least it's not Justin Timberlake (I swear, that name must've been released just so that whoever was chosen, fans could be content he wouldn't be bringing sexy back). Admittedly I'm not a Green Lantern fan, but Bradley Cooper struck me as better-suited to the character than Mr. Quip. Still, Martin Campbell can do no wrong in my book.
Still, Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan and not Wally West? It's like I've slipped into some bizarro parallel universe. What's next, will I find that in the A-Team, Hannibal Smith was played by Mr. T? That critics loved the Watchmen movie's portrayal of Ozymandias, but think Rorschach was hideously miscast? That fandom loathes a male character for coming in-between the perfect love and trust of a heterosexual couple?
(So now I'm dream-casting Michael Rosenbaum as the Flash. I know, I know, he's Lex Luthor, but let him grow his hair out and you'd never recognize him. Plus, he owned that role on JLU and THIS.)
