Random self-squee

Writing a Scott/Barda story set on Apokolips, one of my favorite ideas is that when Scott tells bedtime stories (look, you'll have to read the fic to find out, alright?), they're about Superman and Wonder Woman. It shows how far their heroism has spread and adds another dimension to Scott's attraction to Earth. Plus, how cool is it that people have even heard of Clark and Diana on Apokolips?

Writing update

Emma: Good heavens! I seem to have traveled back in time, into the body of my younger self!

Me: Good! Now make with the X-Men: First Class make-out sessions.

Emma: I feel I shall hash out my familial issues at length!

Me: ...ooookay.

Emma: Now to join the X-Men for reasons both nefarious and nymphomaniac!

Me: And, make-out sessions!

Scott: Hi Emma! I like Jean. Do you like Jean? Because I like Jean.

Jean: Oh, you!

Emma: FLAMES DOWN THE SIDE OF MY FACE!

Me: So... no make-out sessions?

Emma: Hmmm... at this point in the timeline, I would technically be written by Claremont, yet no lesbianism.

Me: DON'T RUB IT IN!

Emma: Hello, Banshee, who I am meeting for the first time, yet you are also my old friend who died tragically. ... HUGS!

Me: WHEN DO THEY START TO UNF?

Damn, this plot stuff is hard. I can see why slashers don't bother with it.
