Wolverine And The X-Men
Sep. 12th, 2008 11:38 amEh. I kinda lost interest after the trailer in which they make it clear that Wolverine is going to lead the X-Men. I'll never understand the impulse to take a dark horse character; someone who's popular because he's mysterious, an outsider, a lone wolf, a rebel; and then make him the leader who gets the most screentime. Isn't that a bit counterintuitive? Logan's popular because he tells his commanders to eff off and die; now what's he going to do, tell himself to eff off and die? Even for the Wolverine fans, isn't that too much of a good thing?
But then, the first episode has Jean mysteriously disappear in a mysterious explosion (mysteriously), so it's pretty obvious that the mourning Scott will be "comforted" by Emma...
seriousfic: On the one hand, there's NO WAY we're gonna get "Emma makes Scott relive memories of Jean with herself in Jean's place, Scott gets off on it." On the other, the idea of kiddified Emma/Scott is perversely fascinating. Scott can teach Emma about teamwork*! *Note: Not a smutfic summary... yet.
prozacpark: That probably also means that we won't be getting make-out sessions on Jean's grave, doesn't it? WOE!
seriousfic: They could make-out on Jean's missing person report.
But it just wouldn't be the same.
