Okay personally I like the second two movies as pure, mind numbing entertainment. The first will always be much better, but as something to sit down and watch when there's nothing else to do just because you feel like looking at something epic? There's little else that's better.
That does not, by any stretch, mean that your points are not valid. Betrayal recycling gets old so fast.
