... I'm really trying to think of some good qualities here. I guess she's a good shot. And she's pretty self-effacing, but there does come a point when you go through humble into 'notice me' annoying. She has to be good in the sack, the amount of practice she gets.
I know Butcher was being serious and Anita Blake seems to have done something right enough that other authors have decided to rewrite her books enough times to call it the "urban fantasy" genre... but "your heroine is the best since Anita Blake" would make an awesome putdown.
