BEST. BIRDS OF PREY. AU. EVAH!!!

By day, Dinah, Zinda, Helena, and Barda are Lady Barbara's faithful ladies-in-waiting. By night, they disguise themselves as knights (male knights, of course!) to fulfill Lady Barbara's orders and defeat the enemies of the realm. It's an important job, as King Richard the Gray's Son has a good heart, but... not so much with the smarts.

Zinda tends the horses. Helena shoots the arrows. Barda kicks the ass. And Dinah writes tender letters of love and devotion to her lady, letters she knows she can never deliver. Naturally, the other Birds are put out that Dinah broods when she could be rolling in the hay (Helena/Zinda) or having improper relationships with bar wenches (Barda... though Scott objects to being called a bar wench, he is a service associate!). But when those embarrassing letters somehow find themselves delivered anonymously to Lady Barbara, will the kingdom fall into bloody war or will there be girlsex?

AWESOME! Poor Richard the Gray's Son. Not his fault that ladies kick more ass than him. The ladies have Barda.

I love how Zinda, Helena, and Barda all have kickass jobs, and Dinah writes adorable love letters.

I would enjoy this AU far too much.
