So I was looking for a nice Dick/Kory fix after my post earlier and I checked

dcfic_index. Okay, nine entries. I'm dubious that there's only nine Dick/Kory fics in all of LJ-fandom -- Clark/Kon has more fics than that, and I didn't see no wedding proposal there! -- but hey, beggars can't be choosers.

Now, I'm not sure who's in charge of this index, but they're not doing their job.

This one is not about Dick and Kory in a romantic relationship. It's about Kory wishing Dick and Roy were in a romantic relationship. Sure it's fine if that's what you're looking for, but not Dick/Kory.

This one says Dick/Slade right on the link. That's not even trying.

This one's marked femslash, but it's about a gender-flipped Dick... does that make him Vulva Grayson?... so I guess that counts.

This has Dick as a male again, so there's that. But apparently being with Kory is a brief roadstop on his way to being with Tim. So at least we're acknowleding that there was a woman in Dick's life in-between the smorgasbord of buttsecks.

Similarly, this looks like we're getting to get some hot Dick/Kory action -- I've given up on any romance, like you lucky Dick/Babs shippers get, with your whole archive devoted to the many flavors of your OTP, not that I'm jealous, just bitter -- but then Kory starts totally shipping Dick/Roy. What is it with you, fandom? If you want to write Dick/Roy, I'm not stopping you. Just stop putting it in my Dick/Kory box. It's like opening an XBOX360 box and finding a Wii. That's not what I'm looking for.

AU where Dick is Kory's concubine. Okay then. So apparently you have to go to an alternate universe to find a place where Dick isn't thinking of a guy he'd rather be doing while he's having sex with Kory.

Not so much Dick/Kory as Dick/Kory/Kory's Hair. Getting closer now...

This is the closest I could find to what I was looking for, even though Dick and Kory don't actually interact. Still, they have a kid, and it's sweet and cute and light, so it's at least evocative of what I'm looking for.

With no other option, I go to Google.

2. If I want Dick/Kory, I'm probably going to have to write it myself.

One year, in a jungle, animal-skin bikinis, come back married. Possibly with some utterly gratuitious thoughts of "damn, I shouldn't have jerked him around so long" from Barbara.

"No, no," Kory would say. "You just should've jerked him off."

Then Barbara would've been all "sexed me up while delivering wedding invite" and we all know where that would lead.
