seriousficSo apparently there's going to be a Magic Mike 2, despite the first one ending with Mike not being a stripper anymore I think? As soon as I heard that, I came up with the plot to a second movie wholesale. Steven Soderbergh, if you're reading this and you probably are, call me.
EXT. NEPALESE MOUNTAIN - DAY
A SHERPA GUIDE stands on a ledge, pointing out a distant monastery to MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY.
SHERPA: I can take you no further. If he's still alive, the man you seek will be in there.
INT. MONASTERY - DAY
Matthew McConaughey walks through the strange environment, making his way past refugees and monks. He comes to a clearing, where a hooded figure stands in the middle of a crowd to an expectant hush. Suddenly, the man throws off his cloak to reveal a tan, chiseled body in a wrestler's outfit. It is CHANNING TATUM. As the crowd of Asian men screams, he does a wrestling-themed striptease.
When he's done, he goes to grab a drink of water, coming by Matthew McConaughey.
MCCONAUGHEY: Not bad. Looks like you haven't forgotten what I taught you.
TATUM: That was for charity. The monks need my popping and locking to keep this place doing.
MCCONAUGHEY: What if I told you about a score so big you could keep your monastery going until the mountain fell down?
McConaughey presents Tatum with a briefcase. Tatum opens it. Inside--a bedazzled g-string.
TATUM: Forget it. I don't do that anymore.
MCCONAUGHEY: You were the best I ever taught. I need you on this one, Mike. America needs you.
TATUM: America's seen me naked enough.
McConaughey hands Tatum his card.
MCCONAUGHEY: We're putting a team together. The best male strippers on Earth. Even that may not be enough. I'll be in Japan next. There's a J-pop superstar with an exhibitionist streak. Now you know where to find me.
TATUM: What you need all those strippers in one place for?
MCCONAUGHEY: (long pause) The movies, they all say Mars needs women. (beat) They were wrong.
