Fringe genderswap

There really isn't a point where things just can't get weirder, is there?
William Fichtner as Agent Orlando Dunham.
Okay, I know I'm kinda betraying the spirit of the genderswap here, but this is what kicked the whole post off. How can I put this gently? Umm... I'M REAL HAPPY FOR YO, ANNE TORV, AND IMMA LET YOU FINISH, BUT WILLIAM FICHTNER IS THE COOLEST CAT OF ALL TIME! OF ALL TIME!

We're putting GPS chips on carrier pigeons to find a man who can control electricity. I have you to thank for that, don't I?
Eliza Dushku as Petra Bishop
Okay, I'm not really big on Peter's character... think I already covered why... so all I was looking for here was someone who can be tough and spout off snarky one-liners at the drop of a hat. Hello, Eliza Dushku's entire career. I think Fichtner/Dushku might actually be an improvement on Torv/Pacey.

The only thing better than a cow is a human! Unless you need milk. Then you really need a cow.
Carrie Fisher as Dr. Wanda Bishop
Okay, here you could just say something like Meryl Streep or Judi Dench and be done, since they can do anything, but I wanted to keep this realistic to a TV budget, since that's more fun. For a while here, I was thinking Jane Curtin, but I wasn't sure if she could do the drama woobie aspects of the character. Then I thought Carrie Fisher. One, how awesome would it be to have a dumpy older woman as the main character on a show? Two, how awesome would it be to have Princess Leia as Faith's mom?

Wait, you want to rewire his brain?
Donald Glover as Ashley Farnsworth
Nothing much to this, I just really want to see Donald Glover and Carrie Fisher playing off each other.
I've been waiting quite a long time for this.
Sigourney Weaver as Wilhelmina Bell
For a moment there, I thought of going back to the Star Trek well and casting Nichelle Nichols here, but one, I don't know how realistic it would be to have a black woman being a prominent scientist who starts a multinational conglomerate back in, what, the sixties? And second, I'm not sure if she's still acting. So, how about another sci-fi icon? Bonus: Every "surprise! Leonard Nimoy!" reveal isn't ruined by William Bell having the most distinctive voice in genre TV.
Others: Mira Furlan as Charlene Francis (gotta have a J.J. Abrams legacy actor in there somewhere) and CCH Pounder as Broyles (oh, CCH Pounder as a black female authority figure, I'm so innovative!).
