This was the epic 200th episode that promised to knock our socks off and leave the 100th episode choking in the dust? A clip show? Aside from the sleek and always welcome James Marsters standing in for Ralph Edwards (look it up, fellow nerds), they pulled out musty retreads of the same darn messages: 1) Clark, pull your head out of your tookus and embrace your future and 2) there truly is no end to the ways we can make Lois look silly and desperate. (Honestly, I have no clue if Erica Durance can act or not since she is given the worst material. Only someone with the acting chops and innately radiant, sweet sexiness of an Amy Adams could pull off Smallville’s Lois schtick.)
Clark hasn't interacted with Ollie at all since Ollie revealed his identity. Not even a "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!" speech for old times' sake? Douche chill! LOL. Maybe THIS was one of the big surprises of the 200th---not the silent cold shoulder (been there, done that), but the absence of a SV ritual rebuke. What will those crazy writers do next?
Could that interlude with the girl serving punch be any weirder? It was so odd, Lois forgot to have sexual tension with a female co-star. Aww look, fan service for the many disappointed shippers. I'll admit it was weird and awkward, but I kinda enjoyed it. Where was the nod to the Clark/Lex sexual tension?
Speaking of Lois and her femslashy aura, I am puzzled you’ve not written a Lois/Tess piece. Or did I miss it?
As a Chloe/Davis shipper, I couldn’t help wondering where was Brainiac 5’s acknowledgement of his part in screwing up Davis’s life? Really, if you’re going for a full-faith confession and seeking absolution, there is one character whose public damnification you could correct...I'm just sayin'. (Yeah, still bitter.)
And Ollie took the most hostile interview ever and called himself a hero. Oh, Ollie, how is it you can even take responsibility for your actions like a douche? At least he's consistent, which saves me the bother of periodically questioning my assessment of him. :D
