If it helps, the story is meant to make you nostalgia for the Cara/Kahlan AU, as Cara is, and it's not going in an OT3 direction.

I didn't mean to misled you, but this is a drama, not fluff, even if it is occasionally told with a light touch. Not to be a cliché, but if you want Cara and Kahlan in loving matrimony, you'd probably be better off with a story by trancer21 or pirateygoodness. I'd conceived this as more of a character study, and although Cara's character is intrinsically tied into Kahlan (cf. the show), it just wouldn't be realistic for the way I see Cara and Kahlan for them to jump into bed together, or for Kahlan to jump out of bed with Richard. As for the sex scene, it is meant to be a little unsavory, going straight from Cara's romantic feelings for Kahlan to a very meaningless encounter with someone who isn't Kahlan, although admittedly it was also meant to be more titillating than you found it.
